Romaine or cos lettuce is a variety of lettuce that grows in a tall head of sturdy leaves with firm ribs down their center. It is used in Caesar salad and Middle Eastern cuisine. Shelf life: 8 days if kept at max. 6 °C.

Romana is the main ingredient of the famous Caesar Salad. Used also in wraps and subs or just make a lovely crunchy salad with it. Hygienically grown in Hydroponic culture. Residue Free.
Nutritional Values
Depending on the variety, lettuce is an excellent source (20% of the Daily Value, DV, or higher) of vitamin K (97% DV) and vitamin A (21% DV) (table), with higher concentrations of the Provitamin A compound, beta-carotene, found in darker green lettuces, such as romaine. With the exception of the iceberg variety, lettuce is also a good source (10–19% DV) of Folate and iron.
