No artificial flavours or taste enhancers in ANY of our processed products.
We use only natural preservatives such as vinegar, oil and citric acid, and in addition to that, we source most of the ingredients for our delicacies directly from our farm!
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
We refrain from using herbicide to fight weed growth. We rely on ‘weed mat’ instead, a wear resistant, UV stable plastic which lasts up to 7 years, in contrast to cheaper alternatives which have to be thrown away frequently, resulting in pollution. We run several schemes to reduce waste by asking our customers to return packaging material to us in exchange for one of our products of their choice.
HYDROPONICALLY GROWN
A sophisticated system wherein each plant receives the exact nutrition and water quantity that it needs, again, preventing waste of water and nutrients. Furthermore, hydroponically grown plants grow in a substrate (coconut husk in our case) which means they never come in contact with soil.
LOW CO2 FOOTPRINT
We pride ourselves on the fact that we try to keep our emissions as low as possible. Our salads and other exotic vegetables are grown locally and are not imported. This means not only a lower price but also makes them a far more environmentally friendly and fresher alternative. For the pasteurization of our delicacies we use solar heated water and most of our electricity is generated by solar panels. We also have rainwater harvesting tanks to help us growing vegetables throughout the summer.
PLASTIC BAN AND RECYCLING
We are proud to state that we are completely compliant regarding the Indian laws on plastic. All the metal, cardboard, butter paper and glass waste at the farm is carefully sorted and re-cycled. We have drastically reduced our use of styrofoam to close to zero since mid 2019.
RESIDUE FREE!
Many agricultural businesses rely on so called ‘spraying schedules’, which means that one sprays regularly, often without there being a need to. We at GreenTokri, in contrast, do so ONLY when our pheromone traps catch bugs. We believe in being honest with our customers and we don’t claim to be organic, just to catch the current “organic-fashion” in the market. We guarantee that our produce is safe for consumption, we try to reduce waste as far as possible and take care of our environment. Our farm-vegetables are residue free!

In our farm – made delicacies (like pasta sauce, sun dried tomato pesto, basil pesto, samurai mayonnaise, and many more,…) we don’t add any flavours, taste enhancers or colours and any other harmful substances used in the production of similar products; we provide only the best and the healthiest.
